The 2015 Foot Pursuit 5K/10K is presented by the Sierra Vista Police Officers Association. We strive to provide a fun-filled event for the entire family. Together with our partners, the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona, Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative, Target, Event Horizon Experience, Culvers, Roto-rooter, Lowe's, Sierra Running, and DJ V with Urban Entertainment, this year's event will be bigger and better than ever!!
For 2015, we are adding a highly anticipated 10K race that will traverse a good portion of the Garden Canyon Linear Park Trail. In addition to the 5K and 10K running races, there will also be a noncompetitive 2 mile walk, and a free kid's event sponsored by Lowe's!Since this year's event is on Halloween, we are strongly encouraging all participants to where a costume. We will be giving prizes to BEST COSTUME(S)!!
We will again have very cool performance tech tees in men's and women's specific styles/sizes for all 10K, 5K, and 2 mile participants who register by October 16th. We will try to accommodate participants who register after October 16th, but no guarantees. Register early!!
All races start and finish at the Huachuca Mountain Elementary School. Sections of both the 5K and 10K courses follow the scenic Garden Canyon Linear Park Trail, which is not suitable for pets or strollers. As a result, pets or strollers are prohibited in the running race.
Joe Schaaf holds the 5K course record with a time of 17:46!
Bora Leonard holds the women's course record with a time of 20:42!
Alex Roy (SVPD) holds the course record for LE men with a time of 20:16!
Monica George (USBP) holds the course record for LE women with a time of 27:23!
The Lowe's Kid's Event will be held at the Huachuca Mountain Elementary School. This event is FREE to kids and preregistration is not necessary.
Registration fees are as follows:
$25 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk
$25 5K Early Registration before Sep 17th
$30 5K Registration Sep 17th to Oct 14th
$35 5K Registration Oct 15th to Oct 28th
$40 Race Day Registration
Packet pickup will be at the Sierra Vista Police Department, 911 North Coronado Drive, on Friday, October 30th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, or the morning of the race from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
All events will start promptly at 8:00 AM. The kid's event will be available starting at 8:30 AM. The awards will be held at 9:30 AM.
Race day parking is available across the street from the venue at the Sierra Vista United Methodist Church.

Overall male and female winners, as well as top three finishers in the following divisions (male and female): 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 and over. The top male and female in the Law Enforcement Division.
EVENT HORIZON EXPERIENCE will be timing the 5K and 10K races using RFID chip timing to ensure accurate and speedy results. Check their Facebook page for additional information and the results following the race.
